Hartford- Margaret ?Maggie (Lombardo) Battalino, 94, passed away on Monday, April 2, 2012 at the Newington Health Care Center. She was the wife of the late Palmer C. Battalino Sr. Born in Hartford on Jan. 10, 1918, were she lived most of her life before moving to Wethersfield and Berlin.
Maggie worked at Bess Eaton Donuts in Elmwood for many years.
She is survived by her three children, Jean Casanelli and husband Angelo of Wethersfield, Barbara Lewandoski of Berlin and Palmer C. Battalino Jr. of E. Hartford; a brother Salvatore Lombardo and Wife Marge of Manchester; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
A memorial mass will be held Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at 10 a.m. at St. Luke? Church, 66 Bolton St., Hartford. There are no calling hours and burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Make a Wish Foundation of CT, 126 Monroe Tpk, Trumbull, CT 06611. The DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington is assisting the family with the arrangements.
