She was born Sept. 2, 1929 in Co. Mayo, Ireland, the daughter of the late George and Brigid (McPhelim) Philbin. Mary retired from the NY Board of Education.
She had been a parishioner of St. Dominic Church.
She is survived by her daughters Eileen Breslin and her husband Dave of Southington and Maureen Macken and her husband John of Ireland, and 4 grandchildren, Colin and Ross Breslin and Declan and Rachel Macken, a loving sister Delia Nyland and her husband Matt of Curradish Mayo, Ireland and many loving nieces and nephews both here and in Ireland.
The Funeral held Friday 10:15 a.m. from DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Southington to St. Dominic Church, 1050 Flanders Rd., Southington, for a Mass at 11 a.m. Graveside services will be at St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale, NY. Calling hours will be Thursday, Feb. 14 5-8 p.m.
