

Southington-Mary (Giano) Silverio, 98, of Milldale, passed away peacefully at Southington Care Center on Monday September 10, 2012. She was the widow of Alphonse (Fonzie) Silverio. She was born in Alvignanello, Italy, province of Caserta.
She was co-owner of Valley Acres in Plainville along with her husband. She belonged to St. Aloysius Church and the Maria Degli Angeli Society. She was an avid bowler and bocci player and loved to play cards, bingo and slot machines... She was an excellent cook and loved to entertain her family and friends with their favorite Italian dishes.
She is survived by her loving daughters Lillian Polak and husband Albert and Anne Marie Silverio. Her grandchildren include Kevin Polak and wife Peggy Johnson Polak, Karen Polak Bobik and husband Andrew Bobik. Her great grandchildren include Nicole Polak Nass, and husband, Brian, Melissa Polak and finance Chris, Noah Bobik, April Bobik and Andrew Bobik III. Her great great- grandchildren Kylie Rose, Autumn and Michael.
She is survived by her brothers-in- law Rocco Fiorente, Anthony Forcella and wife Joan, she also leaves her sisters-in law Vincenza Testa Giano, Josephine D?Agostino Forcella, and Patricia Silverio and many loving nephews and nieces.
She was predeceased by 5 brothers, Andrew, John, Steven, Louis and Stephen, 4 sisters Loretta, Julia, Caterina and Carmelina.
Her Funeral will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Burial will be at St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Wednesday morning from 9-11 a.m.
