

She was born on July 27, 1919, in East Hampton, the daughter of the late Richard and Mary (Daly) Wall.
Her father was the last active blacksmith in East Hampton and her mother was a teacher at the Flanders School House, which was a one room school house where Maureen went to school until high school. Maureen graduated from Middletown High School. She worked at the former Center St. School now known as East Hampton High School, as a secretary, where she met her future husband James DeFrancisco. She later worked at Bevins Bell Company and the Nichols Bus Co. as a secretary. She also worked at the law firm of Elliott, Stanek & Forgione as a legal secretary for many years. Maureen was a former Eucharistic Minister at St. Thomas Church and brought communion to many shut-ins. She was also involved in the Lap Blanket Program and prayer group at St. Thomas Church.
She is survived by a son Michael DeFrancisco of Southington, two grandchildren Richard and Steven DeFrancisco of MA, a sister-in-law Joan DeFrancisco, nieces Joanne Palmieri, Elizabeth Scirpo and Joy Murray, a nephew Paul DeFrancisco and a daughter ?in-law Donna Page. She also leaves cousins, Michael Daly and Father Robert Levens and her God daughter Patricia Daly Banning and other great nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her son Joseph DeFrancisco.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Church, 99 Bristol St. Burial will be at St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 9 a.m. ? 10 a.m. on Saturday Aug. 13, 2011 at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Southington
