

Born in West Orange, New Jersey, he was the son of Joseph and Anna Terminiello.
He graduated from West Orange High School in New Jersey and attended the Newark School of Engineering. He had a vast professional career, including: the positions of Test Supervisor for the Ediphone Division at the Thomas A. Edison Company; Engineering Assistant at the Kearfott Company, where he helped develop aircraft directional guidance systems; part owner of the Miller and Van Winkle Spring Company; International Wire Corporation, where he worked as an industrial engineer; BASF, as a Field Service Engineer in the manufacturing of Expandable Polystyrene, for which he received patents; the Eaton Corporation in Bethel, Connecticut as a manufacturing engineer, for which he also received patents; and finally, Connecticut Microwave in Cheshire, Connecticut, where he was instrumental in helping the company receive their ISO 9000 certification.
He served on the Public Building Commission for the town of Cheshire, the Registrars of Voters Association of Connecticut, American Legion Post #72 of Southington, as well as countless other community services throughout his life. His lifelong passion was hobby model railroading and was a tireless advocate for locomotives and the use of rail; possessed of a relentlessly curious and enthusiastic technical mind, he was a mechanical and electrical engineering genius. He served with the United States Marines in the Korean War, playing an instrumental role in the First Marine Division’s psychological warfare program; he received several commendations and was honorably discharged with the rank of Sergeant.
He is survived by his daughter, Cynthia Fritjofson and son-in-law, Erik Fritjofson of Hendersonville, Tennessee; his grandchildren, Kurt Fritjofson of Dryden, New York, Leslie Fritjofson of Winter Park, Florida, Lauren Fritjofson-Wells and her husband Joshua Wells of Hendersonville, Tennessee, Gregory Fritjofson of Oviedo, Florida and his sister Louise Baab of Summit, New Jersey. He was predeceased by his loving wife Emma Terminiello.
Family and friends are welcome to join the Mass of Christian Burial, which will be held at St. Aloysius Church, 254 Burritt St., Plantsville on March 25, 2022 at 11:00 AM. Interment with military honors will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, Southington. A reception will be held at the American Legion Hall (Kiltonic Post #72), 64 Main St., Southington.
