Born June 14, 1940 in Bridgeport he was the son of the late Norman and Katherine Marland of Fairfield, CT.
Norman was a graduate of Marietta College with a degree in finance and was the owner of Crestview Financial. He was a tall man he was really a gentle giant with a kind disposition. He was very generous and loved most everyone he met especially children.
In addition to his wife he was the loving step-father of George Dreiling and his wife Anastasia of Moscow, Russia and their children Ronchik and Illarion; a sister Carolee Johnson of SC; one niece Heather and Paul Dillingham and their children, Ax, Brooke, Chase and Ross, a nephew Kyle Johnson and his wife Stacy and their daughter Pearl Marie.
His funeral was and burial were held on January 6, 2015. The DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington were entrusted with the arrangements.
