Pasquale Meccariello

He was born December 26, 1918 in New Haven, the son of the late Dominic and Anna (Nardi) Meccariello. Pat was a U.S Army Veteran of WWII He was a parishioner of St. Thomas Church. Prior to his retirement he was employed by Ideal Forge Corp. Back in the late 1950?s, Pat coached Southington Little League baseball, and was an avid NY Yankee fan.

He is survived by his loving children, Richard Meccariello and wife Elaine, Patricia Mongillo and husband Mark all of Southington, brothers Joseph Meccariello of PA and Louis Meccariello of Southington, his grandchildren, Mark Mongillo and his wife Creedance, Taryn Rogers and her husband Christopher, Todd Mongillo and his wife Amanda, Stacy and Bethany Meccariello and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Carl and Thomas Meccariello.

The Family would like to thank the Staff of Hospice for the care and compassion as well as Mela and Mary who helped take care of Pat in his final days.

The Funeral will be held Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at 9:15 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. to St. Thomas Church at 10 a.m. Burial will be at St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday 5-8 p.m. Donations may be made in his memory to the Hospice of Central CT, 205 W. Main St. New Britain, CT 06052.
