
Born in Biddefford, ME on February 14, 1922, Raymond was the son of the late John and Josephine (Bart) Patterson. He served in the US Army during WWII in France, England and Belgium and was a member of the American Legion Post #165 in Wolcott. As a young man during the depression he served in the CCCs in Maine. He was a construction worker for over 50 years, twenty five of those years was with Tomasso Brothers as a blaster and a member of Union Local 390. He was a member of the NRA and and an avid hunter. He was a great fan of the Boston Red Sox and in his retirement years enjoyed gardening especially growing beautiful large flowers.
Besides his wife of 60 years, Ray is survived by a son Michael R. and his wife Latra Patterson , two grandsons Shawn and Jon David Patterson, and two great grandchildren Dakota and Sydney Patterson all of Wolcott. He was predeceased by seven brothers and two sisters.
A memorial service will be held Thursday (Today) at 7 PM at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home 690 Woodtick Rd. in Wolcott. Calling hours are also tonight from 5 to 7 PM. Burial will be in the family plot in Maine at the convenience of the family.
