

Regis Omer Michaud 67, of Milford died on Wednesday May 27, 2020 at the VA Hospital in West Haven after a long and courageous battle with several aliments most of which he beat because he was a strong and tough man. He was the second son of the late Leo and Patricia (Gagnon) Michaud of Southington. Regis was born on July 15, 1952 in New Britain. He graduated from E C Goodwin Technical School in New Britain. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam Era stationed in Germany. He graduated from the University of New Haven with a degree in Electronics Engineering that led to a career with Cable Vision for over 20 years.
In his younger days he enjoyed marching in parades with the New Haven Skyliners Drum and Bugle Corp with his longtime friend Joe. He enjoyed riding his Harley around the USA and had a massive t-shirt collection from his travels.
Regis is survived by brothers Martin, Paul and Steve who looked after him in his later years as well as his sisters Lou Ann (Robert) Lebel, Betty (Larry) Horton, Denise (George) Chamberland, Dolores Cameron, Darlene (Ivan) Menard, and Elaine (Marc) Frigon. He also leaves several nieces and nephews including his godson Jeffrey Phaneuf, Patricia Lebel, Dawn Champagne, Cristal Michaud, Shawn Phaneuf, James and Kelly Cameron, Edward, Cheryl and Alex Menard, Jaclyn and Katie Levesque and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother John Michaud and brother-in-law Michael Cameron.
