Born Sept. 27, 1957 in Meriden, he was the son of the late Dana and Phyllis (Zaremba) Pender Alward.
Richard was employed by Imagination Museum in Bristol. He is survived by two children, Jessie Alward of Torrington and Adam Alward of Bristol; a brother Paul Pender of Plainville; a sister Holly Zazzaro of Naugatuck; aunt and uncle Maxine and Robert Casale of Southington, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A graveside service will be held on, Saturday, May 12th at 11:30 a.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery, Southington. The DellaVecchia Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
