Robert S. Zbikowski

Southington- Robert S. "Zeke" Zbikowski Sr., 60, of 100 Yorktown Rd. passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at Hospital of Central CT, New Britain Campus. He was the husband of Rose (Petrucci) Zbikowski. They celebrated their 35th Wedding Anniversary on Sunday July 1.

Born June 11, 1947 in Springfield, MA ,son of Edna (Muka) Zbikowski of Chicopee, MA and the late Adolph (Steve) Zbikowski, he had been a teacher at Penney High School in East Hartford and was a sales representative for various chemical companies. Zeke had coached several youth leagues in Southington and was a parishioner of St. Thomas Church. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather and will be well remembered for his humor, wit, and his love of his family, friends and the New England Patriots.

Besides his wife and mother,he is survived by his children, Robert Zbikowski Jr. and his wife Charissa of Southington and David Zbikowski of Quincy, MA, granddaughter Brenna Rae Zbikowski, his favorite aunt Wanda Stefanik of Chicopee, MA, his brother-in-law Pasquale Petrucci of Delaware, sister-in-law, Judi Menzo of West Haven, and brother-in-law Salvatore Menzo of West Haven, several close cousins including a special cousin, Thomas Stefanik of Chicopee, MA, several nieces, nephews and many dear friends.

The funeral will be held Saturday 9:45 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. to St. Thomas Church at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be at St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday 4-8 p.m. Donations may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society, 538 Preston Ave. Meriden, CT 06450.
