Sandra Nigro

Born on July 13, 1943, in New Britain, Sandra was the daughter of the late Alphy and Dorilda (Laferriere) Dubois. She dedicated many years of service to Bloomingdale’s by Mail, where she formed lasting friendships and made a lasting impact on those around her.

Sandra had a vibrant spirit and a love for life. She was an avid bowler and found joy in playing cards and bingo, activities that brought her both excitement and cherished moments with family and friends.

In addition to her husband, Anthony, she leaves her loving daughter, Kristen Nigro of Plainville; a brother Joseph Dubois of Holyoke, MA; two sisters Judy Giusto and husband Michael of Naugatuck and Beulah Celella of Southington and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Gordon Dubois and her two sisters Rena Charette and Karen Hubeny. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, March 19th at 11 AM at St. Aloysius Church, Burritt St., Plantsville. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery, Southington. Calling hours will be prior to the Mass from 9-10:15 AM at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington.
