Dr. Steven A. Meleski

Dr. Steven Anthony Meleski, DDS, 64, of Berlin and formerly Southington, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, December 10, 2020 with his family by his side. He was the loving husband of Amy (Tittarelli) Meleski.

Steve was born on September 15, 1956 in Southington, CT to Helen (Kuczynski) and the late Zigmunt Meleski. He graduated from St. Paul Catholic High School in Bristol, CT, graduated from St. Michael’s College in Colchester, VT, and went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at New York University. Steve built a successful dental practice of his own in Southington, where he delivered great care to his patients for over 30 years. During his free time, he lived an active lifestyle as an avid golfer, bowler and skier. He also enjoyed traveling and appreciating food and fine wine. Steve loved spending time with his friends and family and was very proud of his children, their accomplishments, as well as the birth of his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife Amy, Steve is survived by his four children: Alyssa Franzen and her husband Patrick, and Leah Meleski, all of Bellingham, WA, Kyle Meleski and his wife Christina of Litchfield, CT, and Kara Meleski of Atlanta, GA; his four grandchildren Quincy Franzen, Finley Franzen, Madelyn Meleski, and Dominic Meleski; his mother Helen (Kuczynski) Meleski of Southington, CT; his sister Kathy Lee and her husband John of Southington, CT; and his nephew Andrew Lee. He is predeceased by his father Zigmunt Meleski.

Calling hours will be from 5-8pm on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N Main St., Southington. Walkthrough visitation is advised as seating is limited. Due to the current pandemic, masks and social distancing precautions are required. A graveside service will be held at 11:30am on Friday, December 18, 2020 at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, 175 South End Rd., Southington.
