
Southington, Connecticut - Viola Elizabeth ?Sis? Hall, 90, of 368 Long Bottom Road, Southington, Connecticut, died peacefully on Tuesday July 4, 2006 at New Britain General Hospital.á She was the wife of Daniel Ketcham Hall, who died in 1995.á Born in Alburg, Vermont on January 18, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Elizabeth (Carpentier) Mumley.á
As a teenager, she traveled daily by train across Lake Champlain to high school in Rouses Point, New York, graduating in 1934. After dating Dan Hall for six years, the two married on November 19, 1938. They lived in Isle La Motte, Vermont for the first 11 years of their marriage, then moved to Southington.
She combined raising her children with work at Roger?s Orchards in Southington, where she and her family lived for 52 years.á She also managed the lunch program at Hatton Elementary School in Southington for nearly 20 years.á A member of St. Dominic Church, she enjoyed church activities as well as cooking, camping and gardening.

She is survived by her children, Larry Hall and his wife Jeanie of Southington, Connecticut, Judy Maier and her husband Ron of Southbury, John ?Bobby? Hall and his wife Bernie of Alburg, Vermont, and Sarah Hall and her husband John Tucker of Kentwood, Michigan;, grandchildren, Jennifer and Bruce Keevers, Jessica Poquette, Rebecca Hall and Tim Burrows, Aaron Hall, Samantha and Greg Giandomenico, Ian Tucker, Lewito Tucker and Calyssa Hall; great grandchildren, Brendan Letourneau, Aidan Poquette, Jared and Madeline Burrows, and James Hall. She also leaves a brother, Calvin Mumley, and his wife Lorraine of Alburg, Vermont; sisters, Beulah ?Bea? Lewis of Alburg, Vermont, Garnett Tarantino of Colchester, Vermont, and Patricia ?Patty? and her husband Paul St. John of Cape Cod, Massachusetts, five great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.á She was predeceased by three brothers, Carl, Clarence and Melburn Mumley, and three sisters, Elvah McCarney, Doris ?Dolly? Letourneau and Maude Mitchell.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 8 at St. Amadeus Church in Alburg, Vermont, with visitation there one hour beforehand and burial to follow at South End Cemetery in Isle La Motte, Vermont.á Memorial donations may be made to St. Amadeus Church, North Main Street in Alburg, Vermont, 05440; St. Dominic Church, 1050 Flanders Road, Southington, CT 06489; or the charity of the donor?s choice.
