Predeceased by her husband of 45 years, Gunnars Reboks and her sister Dagnia Strautnieks. Lovingly remembered by her children Roberts (Erika), Richards (Caren), and Ruta Ogilvie (Ed), her 6 grandchildren and her sister Jana Konrads.
Aija’s life was defined by her service to others. First in her work, graduating from Hamilton General Hospital for nursing in 1959 and then working at Women’s College Hospital in Toronto. Upon marriage to Gunnars Reboks in 1961, Aija continued this charity wherever her husband’s work took her. She helped friends and family through illness, opened her home to those in need of a bed, and served the wider community through her work in the library and the church. She was very active in the Latvian Lutheran church in St. Catharines for many years, working behind the scenes making sure the church had flowers for every service and for a time becoming its President. Aija found joy in working in her colourful garden and fresh flowers always adorned her tables.
You can no longer see me,
but please know that I am there
I am the flowers in the garden
I am the wind beneath your hair
