It’s with heavy hearts that we share the sudden passing of Cheryl Ann Briggs-Jude (née Hind). She passed away in the hospital on October 28, 2026, at the age of 69. Cheryl was the beloved daughter of the late Gary and Shirley Hind. She was an amazing, devoted Mom to Ashley Briggs-Jude. Cheryl will also be remembered by Wayne Briggs-Jude, the father of her daughter, as well as her many loving cousins. After a dedicated 38-year career at W.S. Tyler Canada, Cheryl enjoyed a well-earned retirement. Anyone who knew her remembers her bright, bubbly personality and her kind, thoughtful heart. She loved her family and cherished her dog, Precious. She was happiest travelling, going to concerts with Cathy, and gardening. She shared a lifetime of fun, laughs, and incredible memories with her best friends—Patti, Peggy, Imelda, and Isabell. Those friendships meant the world to her, and she leaves a huge gap in the hearts of everyone lucky enough to know her. A massive thank you to Angela and the entire ICU staff for the incredible care, compassion, and support they showed Cheryl during her illness. Visitation will be held at Hulse & English Funeral Home, 75 Church Street, St. Catharines, on Friday, October 30, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service to follow on Saturday, October 31 at 9:00 a.m. in the Chapel at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to War Amps would be appreciated by the family.
