Clarence Burt Boyle

March 16, 1917-December 2, 2008

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Burt, in Niagara On The Lake, Ontario. Burt was the loving Husband of Alma (Dabner) for sixty-seven years. Father of Brenda Switzer, Lynda Stempski (Frank). Grandfather of Jennifer Crawford (Mike), Gregory Switzer and Bryan Switzer (Carrie McCumber). Great Grandfather of Lauren, Jacob, Lucas, Madelyn, Katelyn, and Matthew. Uncle of Gary and Brian Boyle, Robert and Rick Nickerson, Joan McKenzie, Brian Greer, David Breakwell and their families. Brother in Law of Sydel Dabner and Helena Boyle. He was predeceased by his Parents, Brothers Richard (Dorothy) and Jack (Snapper), Sister Mary-Jane Nickerson (Ted) and his longtime friend and Brother in Law Douglas (Joe) Dabner. Burt was a resident of Chateau Gardens Niagara, where Alma still resides. He was born and lived in St. Catharines his entire life and was an avid sportsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting from a very early age. He worked for General Motors retiring in 1974. He was a past member of the Niagara Woodcarvers Association and spent many years of his retirement carving decoys that will be cherished by family and friends for years to come. He will be dearly missed by all.

Burt will be resting at the Hulse and English Funeral Home and Chapel, 75 Church St., St. Catharines,. Visitation will take place on Thursday, December 11, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Service to take place on Friday, December 12, 2008 at 11 a.m. in the chapel.
