Donald Melton McCallum

Passed away at home Sunday, November 6 at the age of 76. Loving husband to Eleanor (Dobbie) for 49 years. Devoted dad to Cathy and Michael Molnar and David McCallum. Proud grandpa of Deanna, Kevin, Dane, Alex and Ellianne. Dear brother of Beverly Patterson and Marlene and Tom Clark. Special brother-in-law to Sheila and the late Gordon Bundy, Marg and Pete Conley, Lillian and Fred Hopkins and Diane and Dominic Sassi and many nieces and nephews. Don worked at W.S. Tyler Co. for 40 years. Cremation has taken place. It was Don’s wish that memorial donations be made to Mainstream, 263 Pelham Rd. St. Catharines, L2S 1X7 (905) 935-3924, in honour of his special niece Jenny. Heartfelt gratitude to Nora from CCAC, to Rebecca and Carolyn from Para-med and to Nicole, Isabella, Sam and Grace for making Don’s last weeks with us as comfortable as possible. Many thanks to Dr. D. Henry, Dr. W. Gruber and Dr. D. Hughes for their care over the years. Don had requested that family, friends old and new, neighbours past and present gather to share a glass of wine and a memory or two at Grantham Lions Club (corner of Lakeshore Rd. and Niagara St.) at 1 p.m. on Sunday, November 13, 2011.
