Frances Ada Capell

(April 25, 1909 – April 11, 2014)

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear Grandmother, Great-grandmother, Great-great-grandmother and Great-great-great-grandmother, fondly known as Granny to all who knew her. Granny passed away peacefully with her family by her side and in her heart at Tufford Nursing Home on Friday, April 11, 2014. Granny was predeceased by her husband Stephen Edward (1970), daughter Frances May Brown (2001), son Stephen Earl (2012), son John Bartley (1994), son-in-law Robert J. Brown (2011) and two angel babies in heaven, Dennis Paul and Elle. She is survived by sister-in-law Gwyneth Earl of Penticton. Granny loved her whole family deeply, but held a special place in her heart for her grandson Danny, who she also raised.

Granny loved to visit and tell endless stories about her beloved dad and mother, and loved having her nails done by her great-granddaughter Amy. Her kind and loving ways carried her through her nearly 105 years. Granny, you were such a special person and we were all blessed to have had you in our lives, thank you! Thank you to the staff at Tufford Nursing Home for their care over the past 2 ½ years.

The family will receive friends at the HULSE & ENGLISH FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 75 Church St. (905-684-6346) on Monday, April 14, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at 11:00 am, in the chapel. Interment at Victoria Lawn Cemetery.
