Gail Patricia Lapierre

It is with profound sadness and love that transcends this world that we announce the passing of Gail Patricia Lapierre on January 30th, 2024. In her 81st year, Gail passed away at home with her husband and daughter by her side. Loving wife of Roland Lapierre, cherished mother of Lori (Clint) Williams, precious “Aunt Gail” to Ryan (Elyse) and Meghan. Sister to Brian (Pat), Brenda, Karen, Mike (Linda) and Sherry. Stepmother to Michel and grand-mere to Yufei. Predeceased by her parents Maureen and Eiler “Andy” Andersen, stepdaughter Line Lapierre, sister-in-law Peggy Andersen, brother-in-law Al Judson and brother-in-law Jim Gallaway. She will be dearly missed by nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family in the Lapierre, Andersen and Clarke families.

Gail was a kind soul who loved to make people laugh and smile. She cared deeply for others and was happiest when helping in anyway she could. Nothing came before her family; she would do everything and anything for them. She was know for constantly cutting newspaper articles and sending them to family if she thought it would be something they were interested in and loved sending cards for every occasion.

We would like to thank Dr. Janine Hutchinson (GP), Karen Frederiksen (HCCSS care coordinator), Georgina (PICOT nurse practitioner), Jayde and Brooke (SE Health nurses), the Palliative Paramedics and PSW’s (ParaMed) for the outstanding care they provided to Gail.

Donations to The Alzheimer Society of Niagara Region or Hospice Niagara would be appreciated by the family.

Visitation at Hulse & English Funeral Home & Chapel on Thursday, February 8, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. until the Memorial Service in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 p.m.

Reception to follow at Lori and Clint’s home. Those who can’t attend the visitation and service are welcome to come by the house anytime after 4:30 p.m.
