Peacefully in her sleep at Pleasant Manor in Virgil on June 19, 2021 at the age of 87. Predeceased by her husband Pieter (2020) and her son Harry and daughter-in-law Cheryl Visser. Survived by her children; Bill (Sherri) Visser, Jacqueline (Doug) Foxton, and Paul (Corinna) Visser. Beloved grandma to Brandon, Jade, Brayden, Joshua, Brad, Jocelyn, Chadd, Samantha, Jacob, & Daniel. Great-grandma to Gabryella, Noah, Kal, Eva. Gerda had a passion for playing the organ. She was a long-time organist at First Reformed Church and Hulse & English in St. Catharines. She along with her husband sold real estate for many years; she was a devoted mother and grandmother and enjoyed travelling.
There will be a visitation at Hulse & English Funeral Home & Chapel, 75 Church Street, St. Catharines on Monday June 28, 2021 from 6:00 - 9:00 pm.
Due to COVID 19 restrictions, all guests are asked to call the funeral home 905 684 6346 to schedule a time. Those entering the building are required to wear a facemask. A private graveside service will take place at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens. Donations to Alzheimer’s Association would be appreciated.
