Joyce Lawrence

Mum passed away on Friday 14 June 2024 at the St Catharines Hospital at the age of 102 years, the survivor of five siblings to George and Harriette (Nanny) Lawrence. Beloved mother of sons Ian & his wife Lesley, and Robert. Grandma to Aaron and Dan & his wife Tina, Great-Grandma (G-G) to Samuel and Olivia. Special “adopted” daughter, Marilyn and her partner Bill. Marilyn provided love, support and laughter.

Many thanks to her niece Lindy (Ann) in England for her dedicated love and advice. Joyce has a large family of nieces and nephews including Susan, Lynne and their families, Mary Bywater and her sons and an extended family in many parts of England and Canada.

Additional thanks and appreciation for the support, love and spiritual care received from Arch Deacon Val Kerr at the Niagara Diocese of The United Church.

Mum will be much missed.

The staff at St Catharines hospital gave her outstanding and compassionate care. Dr Jeremy Child, her family doctor for many years gave her exemplary care and support.

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life for Joyce will take place on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at Ina Grafton Gage, 413 Linwell Road, St Catharines from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. It will be held in A Lounge. The Lounge is located at the North-West corner of A & B Building (the furthest from Linwell Road). Just walk up the outside of B Building to A Building to the Lounge patio on the right-hand side. Parking is available and overflow parking can be accessed at the rear of the church on the same lot. Family and friends are invited to share their memories of their interactions with this very special lady.
