Larry Stuart Mott

July 7, 1956 – September 11, 2026

With heavy hearts, the family of Larry Stuart Mott of St. Catharines, Ontario announce his passing on Friday, September 11th, 2026, at the St. Catharines Hospital. Larry will be remembered as a devoted husband and father, cherished son and brother, and friend to many throughout his 70-year lifetime.

Born on July 7th, 1956, in Hamilton, Ontario, he was the son of the late Glenn Mott and is survived by his mother RuthAnn Mott-Gleason. Larry was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Elizabeth Mott and doting stepfather, James Gleason. Along with his mother RuthAnn, he is survived by his two adult children, Andrew and Angela Mott, sister Leslie Upper (Randy), and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members who will remember him fondly from across the country.

Larry will forever be remembered for his love of hockey, music, gardening, and cars. In his final years, he was particularly fond of his family pets and found solace in having them nearby.

Following Larry's wishes, there will be no public visitation or service. A private celebration of life will be held at the family's invitation. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation. Personal condolences may be expressed directly to family members or left online.
