Leonard "Len" Stricharuk

Peacefully on Wednesday, August 26th, 2015 with his loving family by his side. Leonard, beloved husband of the late Christena.Devoted father of Jack and his wife Lydia of Calgary, Ron and his wife Judy of St. David’s and Evelyn and her husband Mark Belchior of St. Catharines, predeceased by his son Daniel daughter Jeannette and sister Mary. Wonderful grandfather of Lenny, Danielle and her husband Jordan, Timothy and Alexander. Lovingly remembered by his sister Mila and her husband Ron and his nieces and nephew. Len was a friend to many, a member of the St. Catharines Rowing Club Alumni, he enjoyed his days playing football for Ryerson, the Niagara Falls Thunderbirds, and the Niagara Falls All Stars, Niagara Falls, N.Y. Len was a member and past president of the St. David’s Lions Club and a proud retired volunteer firefighter for the St. David Fire Departrment. He loved the outdoors and was dedicated to the Wildlife Fellowship and the responsible pursuit of the tradition of hunting. Proud lifelong member of the Gravenhurst and the Bull Moose Hunt Club and the Niagara Hunters Fellowship.

The family will receive friends at the HULSE & ENGLISH FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 75 Church St., St. Catharines, Ontario (905-684-6346) on Sunday, August 30, 2015 from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 pm. A Celebration of Leonard’s life will be held in the chapel on Monday, August 31, 2015 at 11:00 am. Interment to follow in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. If so desired, donations made to The Salvation Army or The St. David’s Lion Club in Leonard’s memory would be appreciated by his family.
