Margaret "Muggs" Eleanor Lacey

Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, in her 78th year. Beloved partner for over 35 years of John M. (Jack) Duchesne. Devoted and much-loved stepmother of Mary Catherine (Jeff), Michael and Jo-Anne. Cherished grandma to Alex (Sam), Thomas (Tyra), Julia (Quinn), Jaime (Darryl), Michael (Danielle), Jada, John, Michael Jr., Nathan (Alex), Graham (Shae) and Joshua. Proud great-grandmother to Lyla, Abigail, Isaac, Greyson and Eliott. Born in Toronto in 1947, she is predeceased by her parents, Edward and Luella Lacey. She is also predeceased by her sister Mary Wheeler (1989) and her son-in-law Vince Lepore. Margaret worked for 32 years for Eaton’s as a sales manager. She enjoyed volunteering at Hotel Dieu Hospital; she was proud to have been awarded volunteer of the year. Margaret also volunteered at Community Cares St. Catharines for over 13 years. Visitation will be held at Hulse and English Funeral Home and Chapel, (75 Church St. St. Catharines, ON.) On Monday, June 2, 2025, from 11 AM to 1PM. Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home chapel following the service at 1 PM. Margaret will be interned with her sister at Assumption Cemetery at a later date.
