Predeceased by her parents William (Ted) and Florence M. Digweed, her siblings Bill, Margaret (Pynn), Tom and David and step-son William J. Cooke of Burlington and Barry of California and their families.
Mercia is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Mercia was an avid hiker of the Bruce Trail and this is where she met her husband Paul who was the vice–president of the club from 1982-85. Donations to the Niagara Bruce Trail (https://brucetrail.org) or plant a tree in Mercia’s memory near Woodend Conservation, Paul Naray side trail would be appreciated.
Family and friends will be received at HULSE & ENGLISH FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 75 Church Street, St. Catharines on Saturday March 2, 2024 from 10:00 - 11:00am. A Celebration of Mercia’s life will be held in the Chapel at 11:00 am followed by interment at Victoria Lawn Cemetery in St.Catharines.
