Natalie Awramenko

February 25, 1929 – February 4, 2015

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Natalie in her 86th year at the St. Catharines General Hospital. Beloved wife of the late Wasyl Awramenko (1986). Beloved mother of Nadia (Andy) Chornenky, Walter Awramenko and the late Lena (Russ) Seniuk. Cherished grandmother of Natalie, Andrew, Matthew, Greg, and Patricia. Loving sister of Mary (Bill) Ulisko. Dear aunt of Tamara, Larissa, Oksana, and great-aunt of Cleo.

Natalie was an active member of St. George’s Ukrainian Orthodox Church and worked hard with the Women’s Association during the founding years. During this time, she and her husband also owned and operated their own business for over 60 years.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, February 5, 2015 at the HULSE & ENGLISH FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 75 Church St. (905-684-6346) from 2-4 and 7- 9 p.m. A Panachyda (memorial service) will be held on Thursday evening at 7 p.m. A Funeral Service will take place on Friday, February 6, 2015 at 10 a.m. at the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of St. George, 65 Facer St. Interment to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery.
