

Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at the St. Catharines General Hospital in her 87 year with family by her side. Beloved wife of the late James M. Diplock. Loving mother of Michael of Ottawa, Wendy (Cliff) Verge of Nova Scotia, Ian of Florida, Pam Dugas of St. Catharines, Heidi (Mark) Murphy of Stoney Creek, Kelly (Carmen) Dortono of St. Catharines, Patrick of South Korea and Candy (Kevin) Gray of Germany. Survived by her 29 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents William Charles and Sarah Ann Salmon. Olive served in the Royal Canadian Air Force during WWII and was a model for the “Canadian Volunteer Service Medal 1939-1945” which was issued to all military personnel who joined during WWII. (Her image is on the far right.) She loved to read, play BINGO and enjoyed her time outside. You will be deeply missed, more than you could imagine.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, September 22, 2011 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the HULSE & ENGLISH FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 75 Church Street (905-684-6346). A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Friday, September 23, 2011 at 1p.m. Interment to follow in Victoria Lawn Cemetery.
