Peacefully passed away with family by her side on Monday, September 4, 2017 at Linhaven Home, at the age of 97. Beloved and devoted wife of the late Charlie (2002). Cherished mother of the late Charlotte (the late Ron) Hathaway. Loving Grandma of Charlene O’Neill. Great-Grandma of Amanda O’Neill. Sophie was predeceased by her many siblings and will be lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews and many dear friends. Sophie was a long time member of St. Giles Presbyterian Church.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 10 a.m. at St. Giles Presbyterian Church, 205 Linwell Rd. (905-934-1901). A luncheon will follow. Cremation has taken place and a private inurnment will be held at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens. Arrangements entrusted to the Hulse & English Funeral Home & Chapel, 75 Church St. (905-684-6346). If desired, memorial donations made to a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
