Betty Jean Barnhart

She was born Friday, August 1, 1930 in Lebanon, Missouri the daughter of Philip J. Coleman and Mary E. Johnson.

She touched so many lives with her kind spirit always taking care of the ones who needed it. She was always there for her son and husband, no matter what. She loved her son and husband and was always so proud to talk about them. She will be deeply missed, but she will always Live in our hearts.

Betty is survived by her son James Barnhart of Albuquerque, New Mexico and her cousin Barbara Morgan of Lebanon, Missouri she is preceded in death by her husband Harold on February 28, 1965, her mother Mary July 23, 1972, and her sister Marie November 21, 2009.

A Visitation will be held at Hoffmeister Colonial Mortuary, located at 6464 Chippewa Street, St. Louis, MO 63109, on January 19, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.

The Funeral Service will follow at the same location on January 19, 2026, starting at 1:00 pm.

The Committal will take place at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, located at 2900 Sheridan Rd, St. Louis, MO 63125, on January 20, 2026, at 11:00 am.
