Known to many as “Carrie” or “Carol,” Caroline was Catholic-educated and known throughout her life as an avid reader who, even as a very young girl, could always be found with a book tucked under her arm. During her teens and early adulthood, Caroline’s strong work ethic and dedication helped her primary Family through The Great Depression. Caroline later met and married the love of her life, George Hasser and devoted herself to Homemaking and the raising of their seven children. Although her Family had been Caroline’s central focus, she and George enjoyed golf, travel and many long-term friendships that have survived to the present. Always willing to help a friend or family member in need, she also found time to participate in and lead various church and charitable organizations throughout the years, among them, The St. Louis Pinch-Hitters Association (a charitable organization comprised of wives and daughters associated with the Baseball Cardinals); The Stephen Ministries, and numerous others. Her lifelong interest in the Real Estate profession and years of contribution to her daughter’s real estate business recently earned Caroline an “Honorary Real Estate Salesperson” award from RE/MAX Results. But with all of her activities and accomplishments, Caroline’s love, devotion and interest in her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren was the driving force behind her magnetic and irresistible Enthusiasm for Life, making her a cherished role model for generations to come.
