Russ, Matt, and Lynda,
I just received a call today (12/23/15) from my brother Ken. He gave me the sad news that your MOM, Elvira, passed away on April 23, 2015.  Needless to say I hope you know our family's deepest sympathy and condolences go out to you and all of your family for your loss. Elvira was a mother to all of us who grew up in the neighborhood and we had the pleasure of knowing her and being touched by her kindness and generosity. She treated all of us the same and never greeted anyone without that beautiful smile on her face. I hope your fond memories of her and your dad, Matt, bring some comfort to you, I'm sure she is in heaven smiling down on her family especially her grandkids and will forever be looking over them. I wished my family would of known at the time so we could of paid our respects to this wonderful lady.

I'm sorry I was unable to attend your mothers funeral but I was out of the country on vacation. What a neat lady, she will be missed by all of us that knew her.

Aunt Elvira was my favorite aunt. She always cared about everyone else.  I know she will be greatly missed.  I'll never forget the plays she orchestrated for the kids...especially the one with a bride & groom (Russell was the groom).  She was such a positive happy person. Matt, Ron sure was sad to hear about your mom. Ron said she was like a second "mom" to him. He told me Sunday night he wanted to attend, but thought it might be a little too much a little too soon. He sends his love & prayers~
