Beloved husband of the late Jean G. (nee Ericksen) Bynum. Loving father of Candace (Charles) Pettyjohn and Deborah Pierson; dearest grandfather of John Pettyjohn, Sarah (Collin) Menkhus; dear great grandfather of Chloe, Sarah Cate and Catherine; dear brother, uncle and friend. He will also be missed by his furry friend Taco.
He was a long time member and Past Commander of American Legion Post 555, Past Commander 11th and 12th District, and Chef de Gare Passe' Voiture 38 of 40 et 8.

Services: The funeral will be conducted in the chapel of Hoffmeister Colonial Mortuary, 6464 Chippewa at Watson, on Monday, July 28, 2014 at 10am. The interment will follow in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Visitation: Sunday at Hoffmeister from 4-8pm, with Guard of Honor Service.
