Dearest John,

You never leave my mind or my heart. 

We talk about you often, sharing so many sweet memories of big brother John, Uncle John and brother in law.

David & I love to tell Lauren the many funny things you would do when you visited us before she was born...it leaves us smiling and happy, having you in our hearts. 

She remembers your visits when she was little and we talk about them often. She treasures all the sweet things that you & Jim gave her. She loves to tell me, "Uncles John & Jim gave me that...". Then we smile, cry a little, laugh a little, and miss you a lot.

We send our love to Jim, who misses you so much. We are so grateful that he keeps your memory in his heart and this memorial book open for everyone to visit...it's comforting to see your photos and read the loving messages left by your many friends.

I miss you so much. Jaye does too. You gave her solace and many hours of laughter and love. 

No one can fill your shoes, my sweet brother. You were, and remain, one of the Good Ones. You left this Earth far too soon. But the gift of love & laughter you shared with us remains always.

Hey John, I had to prune the butterfly bush quite heavy today, guess you can see from where you are the last snow broke it. So was thinking about when we planted it 13 years ago and it made me miss you and I'm sad and teary. Didn't know how much I loved you until now.

You are right, the one picture dose look like are friend.

It has been a month and I still am waiting for the phone to ring. Words cannot express how very much I miss you my dear friend! We have shared so many great memories over the years it is hard for me to believe you are gone. I have little pieces of you all over my house and yard to remind me of you. You are in my thoughts and prayers daily, and you will be in my heart (and garden) forever. Until we meet again my sweet boy!

I didn't know you very long, but the impression you made was everlasting.  Everytime I walk my garden I'm reminded of your generous gifts of plants, knowledge and gentleness.

John, I also will miss you. The Garden Club will be limping along for quite a while, I am sure.  Do try to communicate with those left behind, we keep the windows of our minds and souls open.  Til we meet again, Love Margie Mortland

Although I have known John for many many years we weren't the closest of friends, but still friends, I will miss the pictures of the yard updates and of the dogs.  Most of all I will miss those times when we did meet up Johns' little giggle when I would tease him.  I am so sorry for your loss and may you find some comfort in the days ahead.

It was such a pleasure to know you and be a part of your life.  Rest in peace, John.  You will be dearly missed!

My Dearest brother Jon-Jon....my Hero. We were childhood playmates. We splashed through creeks looking for tadpoles and crawdads. We dug under rocks to discover garter snakes and snails; we played every form of tag and hide-and-seek; collected lightning bugs in jars on summer nights; visited Mrs. Koenig for story time during Indian summers; built forts out of blankets, beds and chairs; shared the little clay toys we would make together; You gave me away, at my wedding. I was always so proud of you.
I will never forget you. You are gone too soon. Lauren misses her loving uncle. I miss your beautiful heart and infectious laugh. David will never forget the many times he got to pick you up at the airport while I was working...and the funny stories that we still tell about Uncle Johns visits. May you be at peace in heaven...may you have every flower that your heart ever desired...May you always know that you were so special, so loved, that everyone whose heart you touched, will forever keep you near. I will always remember you...happy, laughing, smiling your mischievous little grin. My dearest brother. How we miss you and love you.
