Baptized, confirmed and married at Emmaus Lutheran Church, St. Louis MO. Third daughter of F.A. Walther and Bertha (nee Heinz) Walther; Great-Granddaughter of Dr. C.F.W. Walther; Sister of Janet, Pat, Bummy, Ferdi and Art; Aunt to eleven nephews and nieces; Married to Rev. Fred Wm. Holz (deceased); Mother of Arthur F. Holz (deceased), Richard W. Holz, and John B. Moore; Grandmother to Jennifer, Dayna, Natalie, Adrienne, Lydia, Gregory, and Bradley.; Great-grandmother of Gabriel, Torin and Keegan.
Graduated with BS in Business Admin., Missouri University Class of 1935; career as Advertising Production Manager with Commerce Publishing Company, St. Louis MO; traveled extensively in retirement. Enjoyed countless friendships and family interactions.
Active throughout life in LCMS congregations as a Sunday School and Bible Class teacher, choir member, Treasurer, Archivist, LWML member, Cub Scout Den Mother, and more, at Emmaus and Mt. Olive in St. Louis, Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church of Centennial CO, Bethany Lutheran Church of Chicago IL, and Pilgrim Lutheran Church of Houston TX.
Burial is at Concordia Cemetery in St. Louis MO with Committal Service on April 30, 2011 at 10:00am conducted by the Rev. Dr. John Hellwege, Jr., Pastor of Emmaus Lutheran Church in St. Louis and Rev. Richard W. Holz, LCMS Emeritus Pastor who now resides in Pearland TX with his wife, Eunice K. (nee Bornemann) Holz.
