
Dear Mother of Linda Ferguson, Joan (Jim) Harris, Tracie (Jim Henson) Fleshman; beloved Grandmother to Leslie Ferguson and Kris (Alice) Ferguson; Great-grandmother to Johnathon, Henry and “Nugget”; a friend to all including numerous four-legged critters.
Born in Keiffer Oklahoma. Jo survived 2 husbands; Harold D. Mahon and Dr. Robert W. Fleshman, D.C. Early in life she served as an Alderman in Frontenac, Missouri. She was actively involved in the American Legion where she served for over 60 years. Jo loved her country and cheerfully supported many service projects for soldiers, veterans and their families including the USO and Jefferson Barracks. She was a member of Eastern Star. Her love and skills of sewing and crafting was beneficial to many organizations including Newborns in Need. During the early growth years of Logan College of Chiropractic she was instrumental in establishing and maintaining a bookstore for the students as well as coordinating the funding and distribution of scholarships for married Logan students through the chiropractic auxiliary. Service to her community was extremely important and she instilled those same values in her daughters.
A friend to many; she never hesitated to give attention and love to all who needed it. She was the best of the best and will be missed by all whose lives she has touched.
Memorial gathering for friends and family Sunday Nov. 22, 1-4pm at 11929 Meadow Park Dr., Maryland Heights.
