Marilyn Lucille Fuchs was born in St. Louis on November 28, 1931. She was the only daughter of the late Ted and Nora Rohde. She was preceded in death by her brother David. Marilyn was baptized and confirmed at Hope Lutheran Church in south St. Louis. She graduated from Southwest High School, and completed her nurses training at Deaconess Hospital. On May 8, 1954, she married Virgil L Fuchs. They had four children, Pamela (Duane) Saunders, Bradley (Ann) Fuchs, Gregory (Sylvia) Fuchs, and Jennifer (John) Haughey. Cherished grandmother of 11 and great-grandmother of 1.
Marilyn had many talents. One of her favorite hobbies was making quilts and wall-hangings. She enjoyed gardening with her husband, Virgil. A member of Concordia Lutheran Church, Kirkwood, Marilyn's Christian faith was evident in every aspect of her life. She was a gifted, caring, lovely lady and will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Services: Funeral Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. with visitation from 9:30 until time of service, Concordia Lutheran Church, Kirkwood. Interment at Sunset Memorial Park. If desired, contributions may be made to the Benevolent Fund at Lutheran Senior Services. Visitation Monday 4-8 p.m. at HOFFMEISTER COLONIAL Mortuary, St. Louis.
