Beloved wife of the late John E. Tethers Jr. Dear sister of the late John (the late Peggy) McGrath and the late James (Theresa) McGrath. Dearest aunt, cousin and friend.
Val was active in Sigma Phi Gamma sorority throughout her life. In the late 1940s she worked as a secretary for Fred Saigh, then owner of the St. Louis Cardinals baseball club. More recently, Val had many friends at Delmar Gardens South.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Val’s memory to Our Little Haven, P.O. Box 23010, St. Louis, MO 63156-3010.
The family will receive friends at St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church on Monday, April 7, 2014 from 9-10AM with a Mass of Christian burial immediately following. The interment will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Please share memories at www.hoffmeistercolonial.com.
