

Paul was born on October 1, 1934, in Esther, Missouri, to George Perry Marshall and Anna Ruth Loberg. He lived a full and vibrant life, marked by his deep love for family, his many interests, and his hardworking spirit.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kay Marshall; his parents; and his siblings.
Paul is survived by his cherished significant other, Diane Micksa Hendrickson; his children, Steve Marshall (Tish), Jeff Marshall (Susan), and Rick Marshall; his grandchildren, Anna Mangiore (Nicho), Amy Ellzey (Ben), Grant Marshall (Olivia), Megan Eickhoff, Hannah Eickhoff, Dallas Bacon, and Coty Bacon; and his great-grandson, Reid Marshall. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and lasting memories.
Paul graduated from Washington University with a major in Structural Engineering and a minor in Architecture. He was drafted in 1957 and served as the specialist in charge of the Army Education Center in France as well as a math teacher. In 1959 he returned to engineering work. From 1973 to 1990 he was the CEO and President of Engineering, Design and Management, Inc. (EDM) and from 1991 to 1993 he served as the Chairman of EDM. During his 20 years with EDM, he worked on multiple Busch Gardens projects and Sea World as well as local projects, including the Federal Reserve Bank. In 1993 he founded Marshall Engineering, Inc. where he eventually retired.
Paul had a passion for life that was evident in everything he did. He loved both playing and watching tennis and was an avid golfer who spent countless enjoyable hours on the course. He also had a love for dancing and found great joy in restoring and renovating homes throughout the St. Louis area. Above all, Paul treasured time spent with his family and took great pleasure in visiting wineries and creating meaningful moments with those he loved.
He will be remembered for his warmth, his energy, and the deep love he had for his family and friends. Paul’s life was a testament to dedication, joy, and connection, and he will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Paul's Celebration of Life will be held at Hoffmeister Colonial Mortuary, 6464 Chippewa Street, St. Louis, MO 63109, US, on June 27, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, a charity of choice is requested.
