

Born Rosa Korn Gahn on April 11, 1928 to Francis P Gahn and Selina Kull Gahn in Chicago, IL, Rosa was the youngest of three siblings. As a child she lived with her family in Illinois, Tennessee and Alabama. She graduated from Southeast Missouri College with degrees in Biology and English. She later completed a degree at Washington University in Library Science. Her career spanned the 1950’s into 1990’s with some interruption to raise two children. She worked in the Art and Reference rooms at the St. Louis Public Central Library, St. Louis University Law Library, and as the Librarian for the Law Library Association of St. Louis in the Civil Courts Building. She is preceded in death by her husband William H Wright, son David A Wright, and sister Kathryne Klein. She is survived by daughter Ellen E Wright, granddaughter Kaitlin E Wright and brother Henrik Gahn among other family members. She died at home on August 26, 2014 after a long incapacitation.
