Sam Fanara

Sam Fanara in the Hope of Christ Resurrection on Sunday December 14, 2014. Beloved husband of 58 years to Venida Fanara (nee Walters); loving father of Sarina (Dennis) Strack, Francis (Norma) Fanara, Tom (Trish) Fanara and the late Rita Fanara; cherished grandfather of Sam, Tim, Andrea and Patrick Fanara; dear brother of Carmela Kitson, brother-in-law of Eleanor Meadows, Edna Walters and Nina Fanara; Caring uncle, great uncle, cousin and friend.

Sam was preceded in death by his parents Fortunato and Sarina Fanara and his brother Phil Fanara.

Sam had a 46 year career in the banking industry working for 1st National Bank which later would become Centerre Bank.

The family would like to thank the staff of Bethesda Dilworth for their care and compassion with Sam.

Funeral from Hoffmeister Colonial Mortuary to St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church Tues. Dec. 23, 2014 for a 10:00 AM mass. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation Mon. Dec. 22, 3-8 PM at Hoffmeister Colonial Mortuary.
