Beloved son of the late Leo and Helena (nee Kennedy) Kraus. Loving brother to and survived by Judy (Jerry) Bernbeck and Tim (Yvonne) Kraus. Cherished uncle to Terry Bernbeck, Kelly (Bernbeck) Buss, Yvette (Kraus) Schlegel, and Beau Kraus.
Tom was a man of many friends, with a circle that spanned the country. He kept in touch with those he cared about through regular phone calls, maintaining close connections despite the distance.
A lifelong St. Louis Cardinals fan, Tom rarely missed a game—whether in person, on TV, or on the radio. He spent countless summers at Busch Stadium, cheering on the Redbirds with family and friends.
Family reunions in Kansas were a highlight of his life, where he would reminisce and laugh with his siblings and cousins. Tom shared a particularly close bond with his niece, Kelly, and her children Andrea and Nolan. Despite the distance, he always kept his Kansas family close to his heart.
Known for his kindness, generosity, and deep love for those around him, Tom’s spirit will live on in the many lives he touched. His legacy of warmth, compassion, and unwavering love will be dearly missed.
A talented cook, Tom took joy in preparing meals for others, with his signature soups becoming a favorite among coworkers. His carrot cake and baked goods were legendary.
