Dubis; loving mother of the late Paul (Barbara) Dubis, Elizabeth (Stefan) Glynias, John (Elaine) Dubis, Gregory Dubis, David Dubis, Linda (Robert Meyer) Dubis-Meyer and Christina Dubis; Cherished Yiayia of Timothy Dubis & Andrew Dubis, Lexi Glynias, Joey (Whitney) Glynias, Lia (Carlos) Glynias-Restrepo, Stefanie (Chad) Mott & Steven (Sarah) Glynias, Steven Dubis, Anthony (Taylor) Dubis & Julia (Ben) Tofaute, Rachel Dubis (Jack Coaty), Thomas Dubis & Angel Dubis, Eric Meyer, Cory Meyer & Marianthe Meyer and Rebecca Dubis (Nathan Schilly); Adored Yiayia Dubis of Ellie, S. Peter, Michael & Lucy Glynias, Olivia & Jack Tofaute, Evie & Allie Mott and Jack Glynias; dearest sister of the late Pete (late Lula) Mezines, Sam (Maureen) Mezines & Chris (Mary) Mezines.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Athanasios and Evthoxia Mezines, to whom she was a devoted daughter who cared for them until their passing. Cherished Aunt Bessie, sister, niece and friend to many.
Vassiliki was a warrior who overcame great obstacles in her life. She loved her faith, family and her Greek heritage. She enjoyed gardening and cooking, and fed everyone that came to her home.
Her smile brightened the room and filled it with kindness and love for everyone around her. She will be deeply missed.
SERVICE: Visitation Sunday, March 24th from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Hoffmeister Colonial Mortuary, 6464 Chippewa Street at Watson. Trisagion Service, Sunday at 7:00 pm.
Funeral Mass, Monday, March 25th 11:30 am at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 4967 Forest Park Ave.; 63108. Interment to follow at St. Matthew Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Vassiliki’s name may be made to the St. Nicholas Mortgage Fund, Philoptochos, Alzheimer’s Association, The American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
