

He is survived by his children, Erica and William “Ian” Davis; partner, Wanda Wright; brother, Troy (Debra) Davis; sister, Marie Davis; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Joan Davis.
B.J. graduated from Permian High School in 1967 and later used his GI Bill to complete a degree in Criminal Justice from Troy State University. After his high school graduation, he joined the United States Army. He was stationed in the United States, in overseas countries, and served in Vietnam. While he was in the Army, he earned several Army and Vietnam service medals and service ribbons.
His 20-year career with the United States Army took him to AVSCOM, where he worked as a Visual Information Chief and Television & Radio Broadcast Operations Chief, among other jobs. After retiring from the Army, he worked for the Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial Relations as a benefit program specialist and then retired from that job.
B.J. was an easy going man who never left home without wearing one of his Army hats. He liked to eat out and could not get enough of breakfast food. He watched nearly every Cardinal baseball game, whether they were winning or losing. He loved his adopted calico cat, Kaylee. Other hobbies and interests included reading, history, bird watching, fishing, attending Omnimax movies, playing cards, going on day trips, and listening to music.
A Visitation for William will be held Saturday, July 19, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Hoffmeister Colonial Mortuary, 6464 Chippewa St, St. Louis, Missouri 63109 The Memorial Service is at 12:00 PM, followed by Full Military Honors.
