Hesketh Samuel

Hesketh Alvan Samuel, age 71 of St. Paul, MN passed away August 19, 2020 in St. Paul. He was born December 6, 1948 in St. John’s, Antigua. Preceded in death by his parents Alvan & Leah Samuel, and siblings Cyril, Idona and Molvena. He is survived by 2 sisters: Sylvia, Bondalyn, and brother Eumel, and his daughters: Brenda (Otis), Michelle (Lonzo), and Shawna; his Grandchildren: Britney (Marcus), Isaiah, Malik, Daveon, Tisana, Anthony, Mariah, Makayla, and Adam; and Great Grandchildren: Kyra, Arriana, Selah, Enoch, Joelle, Elijah, and 2 on the way.

Hesketh was a beloved father, pappy, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend who will be missed dearly. He loved the ocean because it was his first home - Antigua. He enjoyed fishing, exercising, and loved spending time with his family. He also was a devoted member of his Catholic church. Hesketh moved here from St. Johns’s, Antigua to attend school at St. Thomas University in St. Paul where he earned his Master’s in Computer Science and went on to be a Computer Programmer Analyst. He worked hard for everything that he had and showed his three daughters how to do the same. He went on to obtain his American Citizenship and build a happy and beautiful life here in America. He pursued entrepreneur opportunities throughout his life and took pride as his family members were also successful in their own education and career pursuits. Hesketh was known as the prayer warrior for his family, he was a humble man of faith and strength, and can never be replaced. Heaven has gained a magnificent angel – who will be missed here on earth.

His Memorial Service will be held 6 PM Monday August 24, 2020 at Wulff Funeral Home, 1485 White Bear Ave. St. Paul, MN 55106 with visitation beginning at 4 PM.
