

She was a wonder woman who raised four children as a single mom back in the day when it was very uncommon. She cooked, baked, had a big garden, canned fruits and vegetables, and sewed clothes for herself and her children. She was especially known for her home-made sweet rolls. Tommy and Dennis always said when they were coming home from school that they could smell them within two blocks of home. At the Holidays she made them for all the neighbors in Columbia Heights (where she raised her children). In 1973 she married Earl McNiff. They enjoyed 40 wonderful years together.
Mom sewed and cut fabric for an upholsterer in an interior decorating shop in Fridley. After her retirement, she started a new career as an in-home aide until her second retirement at age 75.
She is survived by her daughter Yvonne (Edward) Schlichting, son, Tom, (Jolene) Phillips, and daughter-in-law, Eileen Phillips. She is as survived by 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. . She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother, 1 sister, husband, Earl in 2014, son, Dennis in 2005, grandson, Joey in 2018, and great grandson, Harrison, in 2020.
Mom loved and was loved by her family. Rest in Peace, you deserve it.
