Linda Rae (Hagglund) Stepan

Linda Rae (Hagglund) Stepan passed away unexpectedly surrounded by her family and friends on Wednesday, May 3, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents Arnold and Rita Hagglund, brother William “Bill” Hagglund, mother and father-in-law Albert and Jean Stepan and brothers-in-law Gary and Ronald Stepan. Linda was born on September 17, 1951 in Saint Paul, Minnesota. She graduated from Johnson High School in 1969, and took accounting courses at Century College. She was united in marriage to Craig Stepan in August 28, 1970. Craig and Linda lived in North St. Paul for 32 years and Hugo for the last 10 years. This union was blessed with three children and three cherished grandchildren. Linda enjoyed working at Wells Fargo for 20 years as an Asst. Vice President in Small Business Lending and her work community was incredibly valued by her. She loved entertaining family and friends at the lake, quiet time knitting, reading, watching hockey, football, and made her presence known at her children and grandchildren’s sporting events. Linda is survived by husband Craig Stepan, son Brad Stepan (Tom Helwig) of Minneapolis, son Tim Stepan (Cassandra) of North St. Paul, daughter Kelly Stepan of Little Canada; grandchildren Maxwell Johnson, Jack and Audrey Stepan; brother Dennis Hagglund (Linda); sisters-in-law Patty Hagglund, Cindy Stepan, Sharon Baker (Jeff), Denise Rothmeyer (Rick); Brothers-in-law Kevin Stepan, Randy Stepan (LeAnn); and many nieces, nephews, Godchildren, and dear friends. She will be fondly remembered for her laugh and enthusiasm for life. Her kind and loving influence will forever remain in the lives and hearts of all who loved her. Visitation 2-6 pm, Sunday, May 7th at Wulff Funeral Home, 1485 White Bear Ave., St. Paul, and 1 hour prior to mass at Church. Mass of Christian Burial 11 am, Monday, May 8th at Church of St. Peter, 2590 N. Margaret Street, No. St. Paul. Internment at St. Mary’s Cemetery, No. St. Paul.
