Margie married Gary LeRoy Rose on June 15, 1963, and they shared a loving marriage of nearly 40 years until his passing in 2002. During Gary’s service in the U.S. Army, the couple lived in Blanco Texas, before returning to Minnesota. Over the years, they made their home in St. Cloud, Marshall, Redwood Falls, and later returned to Marshall before settling in Lakeville.
Margie and Gary loved to travel and experience new things together, cherishing the adventures and friendships they made along the way. They also enjoyed spending time with neighbors, sharing laughter, good food, and lasting friendships wherever they lived.
She is survived by her son, Garrett Rose and his wife Alma; daughter, Gretta and her husband Chadwick Holder; grandchildren Aislin (Noah) Busch, Jaelin (fiancé Alex Schodin) Rose, Braxton Holder, and Tyson Holder; and great-grandson Emmett LeRoy Busch. She is also lovingly remembered by her brother George Wilson, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.
Margie loved to read, knit, crochet, and spend time in her yard gardening. Her faith was a guiding light throughout her life. She spent countless hours supporting her grandchildren at swim meets, gymnastics meets, dance recitals, baseball games, football games and basketball games—always their biggest fan.
A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, November 17, 2025 at 11:00 AM with Visitation two hours prior to service, from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Grace United Methodist Church, 15309 Maple Island Road, Burnsville, Minnesota. Interment will follow at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
