Marian Janet Turley

Age 81. Marian Turley passed away peacefully the day after Christmas, at Pillars Hospice in Oakdale. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Floyd “Gene” Turley, and is survived by her daughter Deanna, son Daniel (Marzena), grandsons Antonio,Michael, brother Richard McMahon and sister Patty Micko(Greg), sisters-in-laws Marjorie, Sonja, Mary Ellen, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A lifetime resident of St. Paul, her friends at the City of St. Paul, where she worked for many years, called her Marian. But to family she was known as Babe. In retirement, Babe worked at Target for years, and enjoyed gambling—especially trips to Vegas, where she and Gene travelled frequently and where she excelled at video poker. At home she was a master of Candy Crush, loved her soaps, and always brought the best cucumber sandwiches to family gatherings.

Babe will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at Fort Snelling this Friday, January 30. Friends and family are invited to celebrate her life on Friday afternoon 1-3 at VFW Post 1296. 311 West 84th Street, Bloomington, MN 55420.
