

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Marilyn Elaine Parenteau, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, on May 13, 2026, at the age of 82. Marilyn passed away peacefully, with her darling, darling, daughter by her side.
Marilyn was born on November 16, 1943, in the quaint town of Anoka, Minnesota, to the late Manford and Jewell Schake. She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved son David Parenteau, and her dear friend Ken Don Little, whose memories she cherished deeply.
Marilyn is survived by her daughter Holly (Don) Redepenning, her daughter-in-law Michelle Parenteau, and her grandchildren Nick, Joe, and Sam Parenteau.
Marilyn is also survived by her beloved sisters, Carole Schaaf, Barbara (Glenn) Hibbard, Deborah (Russell) Reed, and Jaclyn Smith, who shared in her laughter and tears.
Marilyn enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, bird watching, and Caribou Coffee dates.
In celebration of Marilyn's life, her family invites you to remember her not with sorrow, but with the joy and warmth that she brought to the world. She taught us the importance of finding beauty in the everyday and the power of love and kindness.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Saint Therese Senior Living at St. Odilia for the exceptional care and compassion they provided to Marilyn, ensuring her final days were filled with comfort and dignity.
A visitation will be held at Wulff Funeral Home, 1485 White Bear Ave N, St. Paul, Minnesota 55106, on May 27, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a Celebration of Life at Wulff Funeral Home at 11:00 am on May 27, 2026.
